Short answer: a probiotic and a multivitamin, not two versions of one product
Seed DS-01 and DM-02 are not substitutes for each other. DS-01 Daily Synbiotic is a probiotic plus prebiotic (a synbiotic). DM-02 Daily Multivitamin is a multivitamin.
DS-01 Daily Synbiotic, the 30-Day Refill, is 60 capsules in a pouch and does not include a jar. The label serving is 2 capsules. The panel lists four probiotic blends (24 strains, 53.6 billion AFU in total) and 400 mg of polyphenolic precursors. No vitamins or minerals are listed.
DM-02 Daily Multivitamin, the 30-Day Supply with Jar, is 30 capsules and includes the jar. The label serving is 1 capsule. The panel lists 20 vitamins and minerals, each at 100% Daily Value, plus two small blends (36 mg and 30 mg). No probiotic strains are listed.
The choice is which category, if either, you are shopping for. This page compares what the two labels say, how each is taken, what each listing ships in, and what each costs per day, using the two Amazon listings checked on October 21, 2026:
- Seed DS-01 Daily Synbiotic, 30-Day Refill, 60 capsules: ASIN B0G99WQ4PG
- Seed DM-02 Daily Multivitamin, 30-Day Supply with Jar, 30 capsules: ASIN B0FHYNSJ6M
FDA framing: dietary supplements are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Both listings use digestive, immune, skin, and healthy-aging wording in their titles and bullets. This page does not evaluate or repeat those claims, and neither product was tested hands-on by this site.

What is in DS-01 Daily Synbiotic
Four probiotic blends, reported in AFU
The DS-01 panel groups its 24 strains into four named blends. Amounts are per 2-capsule serving:
| Blend (Seed’s name) | Weight | Labeled count |
|---|---|---|
| Digestive Health Probiotic Blend | 224 mg | 38.7 billion AFU |
| Micronutrient Synthesis Probiotic Blend | 36 mg | 7.32 billion AFU |
| Dermatological Health Probiotic Blend | 36 mg | 3.34 billion AFU |
| Cardiovascular Health Probiotic Blend | 13 mg | 4.21 billion AFU |
| Total | 309 mg | about 53.6 billion AFU |
The blend names are Seed’s product names, not findings by this site. The listing names each strain with a full designation (for example Bifidobacterium longum SD-BB536-JP and Lacticaseibacillus rhamnosus SD-GG-BE), which is the level of detail our probiotic and synbiotic label guide recommends checking. Seed reports the count in AFU (active fluorescent units) rather than CFU, so the number should not be lined up directly against a CFU figure on another brand’s label. NIH’s Office of Dietary Supplements also notes that a higher count does not necessarily mean greater benefit.
The prebiotic and other ingredients
The fifth line on the panel is Microbiota-Accessible Polyphenolic Precursors, 400 mg, which is the prebiotic half of “synbiotic.” Other ingredients: vegan outer capsule (hypromellose, sodium copper chlorophyllin color), vegan inner capsule (hypromellose, water), organic rice fiber, and organic rice extract.
Directions
The listing says adults take 2 capsules at once, daily, and Seed’s own FAQ adds that it can be taken with or without food. The listing also describes a start-up option: people “prone to digestive sensitivity” can take 1 capsule for the first 3 days before moving to 2. Women who are pregnant or planning a pregnancy are told to consult their doctor first.

What is in DM-02 Daily Multivitamin
Twenty vitamins and minerals at 100% DV
Every vitamin and mineral on the DM-02 panel is listed at exactly 100% of the Daily Value per capsule:
| Group | Nutrients and labeled forms (amount, 100% DV each) |
|---|---|
| Fat-soluble vitamins | Vitamin A 900 mcg (retinyl palmitate and 50% beta-carotene); Vitamin D 20 mcg (D3 from algae); Vitamin E 15 mg (RRR-alpha-tocopherol); Vitamin K 120 mcg (phylloquinone) |
| Vitamin C | 90 mg (ascorbic acid) |
| B vitamins | Thiamine 1.2 mg; Riboflavin 1.3 mg; Niacin 16 mg; B6 1.7 mg (as P-5-P); Folate 400 mcg DFE (as L-5-MTHF calcium); B12 2.4 mcg (adenosyl- and methylcobalamin); Biotin 30 mcg; Pantothenic acid 5 mg |
| Minerals | Iodine 150 mcg; Zinc 11 mg; Selenium 55 mcg; Copper 0.9 mg; Manganese 2.3 mg; Chromium 35 mcg; Molybdenum 45 mcg |
What is not on the list matters as much: the panel has no calcium, magnesium, iron, potassium, phosphorus, or choline line. A shopper who expected those from a “complete” multivitamin should know they are absent, and should compare against diet and other supplements rather than the front label.
The two non-vitamin blends
- Cellular Energy Complex, 36 mg: CoQ10 (ubiquinone phytosome), PQQ disodium salt, spermidine trihydrochloride, and vitamin K2 as menaquinone-7 (described as a Bacillus subtilis var. natto-derived postbiotic). No Daily Value is established.
- Microbiome-Accessible Phytonutrients, 30 mg: Japanese wasabi root extract (2% isothiocyanates) and Japanese pagoda tree flower extract (95% quercetin). No Daily Value is established.
The blend names are Seed’s. This page records what is listed and in what amount, not what the blends are claimed to do.
Other ingredients: vegan capsules (hypromellose, calcium carbonate for color, water), microcrystalline cellulose, L-leucine, silicon dioxide, organic rice fiber, organic sunflower oil.
Directions and safety text
The listing says 1 capsule daily, with food, and recommends a full meal containing fat. Its safety text says to consult a healthcare practitioner before use if you are pregnant, nursing, taking medication, or have a medical condition. Because the capsule contains vitamin K (K1 plus K2), note that NIH ODS lists warfarin as a medicine that can interact with vitamin K; anyone on a blood thinner should ask their prescriber before adding any vitamin K-containing product.
The broader multivitamin questions (overlap, no standard formula, diet first) are covered in our Seed DM-02 Daily Multivitamin review.
Format: refill pouch vs jar
The two ASINs on this page are not the same kind of package:
- The DS-01 listing (B0G99WQ4PG) is a 30-Day Refill shipped in a pouch. It does not include Seed’s glass jar. The listing’s own safety text asks you to move the capsules into an airtight, resealable container after opening and keep the desiccants. If you do not already own the DS-01 jar, the listing points to a separate 30-Day Starter.
- The DM-02 listing (B0FHYNSJ6M) is a 30-Day Supply with Jar, so the container is included.
This is a practical difference, not a quality one. It mainly affects first-time DS-01 buyers, who may want the starter rather than this refill.
Price per day as of Oct 21, 2026
| DS-01 30-Day Refill | DM-02 30-Day Supply with Jar | Both together | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Amazon one-time price | $57.99 | $39.99 | $97.98 |
| Capsules | 60 | 30 | 90 |
| Price per capsule | About $0.97 | About $1.33 | — |
| Capsules per day (label) | 2 | 1 | 3 |
| Price per day | About $1.93 | About $1.33 | About $3.27 |
| Seed.com monthly subscription price | $49.99 | $39.99 | Seed advertises a bundle discount |
Amazon prices are the one-time purchase price shown on each listing on October 21, 2026; Amazon also offered a subscription option. Seed.com prices are the listed monthly-delivery prices on the same date; Seed’s first DS-01 order includes a jar. Shipping, tax, and promotions are excluded. Recalculate from the live listing before buying.
DS-01 costs more per day mainly because each serving is two capsules. Per capsule, DS-01 is actually the cheaper of the two on this date.
How to decide between them (or neither)
Decide by category first
- If the question you are trying to answer is about vitamins and minerals (for example, overlap with a diet that is low in certain foods), DS-01 does not address it; its panel has no vitamins or minerals. Compare DM-02 with other multivitamins using our supplement label guide.
- If the question is about probiotics, DM-02 does not address it; its panel has no probiotic strains. Compare DS-01 by strain identity, amount, and routine.
- If you cannot say which category you are shopping for, that is the point to pause, not to buy both.
Considering both
Seed’s DM-02 listing says Seed supplements are compatible with each other, and Seed.com sells the two as a bundle. That is a manufacturer statement. Taking both means 3 capsules a day across two timing rules (DS-01 with or without food; DM-02 with a meal) and, on Amazon one-time prices, about $98 per 30 days. Check the combined routine against everything else you take.
Neither may be the right buy when
- You are looking for a substitute for a varied diet. NIH ODS states multivitamins cannot take the place of eating a variety of foods.
- You need advice for a health condition, pregnancy, or a prescription medicine. A doctor or pharmacist can review the labels with you; this page cannot.
- You are choosing a probiotic only because of a large headline number.
- The recurring monthly cost does not fit, or you cannot verify the current label and seller.
Choosing nothing is a valid outcome of a careful comparison.
Verify the ASIN before you buy
- Seed DS-01 Daily Synbiotic, 30-Day Refill (60 capsules, pouch, no jar): B0G99WQ4PG
- Seed DM-02 Daily Multivitamin, 30-Day Supply with Jar (30 capsules): B0FHYNSJ6M
The buy buttons on this page use affiliate short links that redirect to the merchant listing. Seed sells several sizes and formats (30-day starter, 30-day refill, 60-day refill), so confirm the size, capsule count, and whether a jar is included on the page you open.
What this guide will not do
- Claim that either product improves digestion, immunity, skin, energy, or aging, or compare them on results.
- Recommend a dose, a schedule, or whether you need a probiotic or multivitamin at all.
- Report taste, smell, capsule feel, or tolerance; no hands-on testing was done.
- Treat ratings, “bought in past month” counts, or brand comparison charts as evidence.

Can Seed DS-01 and DM-02 be taken together?
Seed's DM-02 listing says Seed supplements are compatible with each other, and Seed sells them as a bundle. That is a manufacturer statement, not a personal recommendation. This page does not say whether either product, or both, is right for you; a doctor or pharmacist can check them against your diet, medicines, and other supplements.
